Our workshops have been developed to provide a quiet day of creativity and gentle tuition and we hope the feeling of going home with a desire to learn more.

This one day course is suitable for both beginners and intermediate level students and aims to equip you with the skills, wire and beads to create two wire wrap pieces of jewellery

• A copper wire wrapped bracelet, either sleek style or with beads
• A beaded ring

The workshop begins with an introduction to the basics of wire wrapping. You will learn about the tools you need, the different types, shapes and gauges of wire, plus demonstrations from Jo of various techniques, such as binding and twisting wire, all of which will enable you to create lovely pieces of jewellery to take home with you.

You will start by making a beaded ring before moving on to the main project, which will be a choice of either ‘sleek’ or ‘beaded’ bracelet. The projects will be completed using bare copper wire but we will also talk about how to add a patina to the wire to give it that antique look.

The course focus is always on fun and friendly creativity with lots of personal tuition from an experienced wire wrapping artist.

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the day but we would suggest you to bring your own lunch to the workshop. Alternatively the shop is situated next to the wonderful Mulberry Tree Cafe where you can purchase delicious food at reasonable prices.
