Have you ever wanted to create your own silver jewellery? This full day workshop is the perfect opportunity to come and learn the basics of silversmith-ing.

The course aims to equip you with the skills, tools and materials to create your very own unique sterling silver pendant from flat sheet silver PLUS earrings.

We start the workshop with a description of the basic tools used to cut, form and detail silver. You will then be given the opportunity to practice your skills and once you feel comfortable, we will cut and prepare some pieces of silver, ready to build into your first design.

After a break for lunch we will carry on and learn a little more and then cut and prepare silver pieces ready to form into your second project.

This will be a step by step lesson, suitable for complete beginners with use of tools and materials for each student included in the course price.

Our workshops have been developed to provide a quiet day of creativity and gentle tuition and we hope the feeling of going home with a desire to learn more.

The course focus is always on fun and friendly creativity with lots of personal tuition from an experienced silversmith.

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the day. You are welcome to bring your own lunch to the workshop. Alternatively the shop is situated next to the wonderful Mulberry Tree Cafe where you can purchase delicious food at reasonable prices.

The course cost includes refreshments and use of tools throughout the day. Silver used to make one pair of earrings and one pendant is included in the course price with the option to purchase more if you choose to create more pieces or a more elaborate design. Chains are available to purchase at cost price.

Note:- Due to the nature of the tools and work carried out on the day we recommend dressing in comfortable comfortable clothes and closed shoes.
