Our workshops have been developed to provide a quiet day of creativity and gentle tuition and we hope the feeling of going home with a desire to learn more.

Silver clay is an amazing medium to work with, as it incorporates recycled silver in a binder with water and when fired the clay turns into fine silver.

This one day course aims to equip you with the skills, tools and materials to learn how to make a 3D mould to capture a small object (approx 1.8cm big – bring your own object or the tutor will have some example pieces to use). We'll then learn how to work with the clay and using the mould to create a solid fine silver pendant drop from that object. 

After kiln firing, your piece will be polished and the finishing touches applied, ready for you to take home your beautiful jewellery.

The course costs include a packet of silver clay, embeddable eyelet, jump ring, 1 x mould kit, the use of tools and refreshments throughout the day.

 The class is suitable for complete beginners to silver clay and will cover the basics of this exciting process, so why not take a break from the week and have fun working with this magical clay and then enjoy wearing your own fine silver designs.

The course focus is always on fun and friendly creativity with lots of personal tuition from an experienced Silver Jewellery artist.

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the day but we would suggest you to bring your own lunch to the workshop. Alternatively the shop is situated next to the wonderful Mulberry Tree Cafe where you can purchase delicious food at reasonable prices.

The course costs include materials, use of tools and refreshments throughout the day. Silver chains are not included, but can be purchased on the day from the tutor.
