As with all our classes this inspiring one day workshop has been developed to provide a quiet day of creativity and gentle tuition, equipping you with the tools and skills to produce a beautiful handmade linoprint. No carving experience or previous knowledge of linocut printing is required - our workshop is designed for everyone!

The class starts with a breakdown of the carving tools and materials used to produce linocut designs and then you will be offered a piece of either soft (pink) or hard (grey) lino to work with during the day, depending on your preference.

Marcus will be on hand to offer inspirational designs for you to create or, if you have your own design ideas then bring them along and Marcus will suggest and advise on the best approach to carving your piece.

Once carved, your plate will then be inked and fitted into a print press to create a unique piece of art.

At the end of the session, you'll proudly take home your print along with the original carved lino plate for you to use time and time again.

The course focus is always on fun and friendly creativity with lots of personal tuition from an experienced linoprint artist.

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the day but we would suggest you bring your own lunch to the workshop. Alternatively the marvelous Mulberry Tree Cafe is adjacent to the shop and if you wish you can purchase reasonably priced and always delicious food.
