Check Out our Christmas Glass Fusing Workshops - HERE -

Our workshops have been developed to provide a quiet day of creativity and gentle tuition and we hope the feeling of going home with a desire to learn more.

This one day course aims to equip you with the skills, tools and glass to create 3 projects

·       A Pair of 9.5cm x 9.5cm Coasters

·       A 8cm x 20cm Hanging Wall Plaque / Suncatcher

·       A piece of Dichroic Jewellery (Pendant, Earrings, Cuff Links, Brooch etc)

We start the workshop with a description of the basic tools used to score and cut glass and a short demonstration on how to break glass safely. You will then be given the opportunity to practice your cutting skills on some standard float glass and once you feel comfortable, we will cut and prepare some pieces of fusing glass, ready to build into your first design.

After a break for lunch we will carry on and learn a little more about what sort of materials can be fused into the glass and then cut and prepare glass pieces for your second and third project

Use of tools and glass for each student will be supplied and are included in the course price.

Course Highlights

·       Friendly, comfortable and well lit environment

·       All tools and materials needed to complete your projects

·       Generous table space

·       Clear information and demonstrations

·       Project example pieces for inspiration

Because of the time associated with fusing glass, projects will be taken away to fuse in a kiln and brought back to the shop in time for the following Saturday

The course focus is always on fun and friendly creativity with lots of personal tuition from an experienced glass artist.

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the day but we would suggest you to bring your own lunch to the workshop. Alternatively the shop is situated next to the wonderful Mulberry Tree Cafe where you can purchase delicious food at reasonable prices.

The course costs includes materials, use of tools and refreshments throughout the day.

Class sizes will be limited to SIX to enable a good proportion of individual tuition so please use the links above book your place.
