Katie Sanderson is a practising enamel artist living in Nottinghamshire. After first being introduced to enamelling through her mum, it soon became something she loved and still finds incredibly satisfying. Every time a piece goes in the kiln she knows that once it's out and cooling there will be a different result every time.

Katie uses many of the different enamelling methods but in this workshop the focus will be on enamelling using opaque and transparent enamels on copper. There will be a distinct Christmas feel to this class with Tree Decorations and other festive things to make

All our workshops have been developed to provide a quiet day of creativity and gentle tuition and with this class you can really relax, and may be surprised at how immersed you can get in this art form.

This class is suitable for complete beginners or those who have dabbled and would like to further their experience.

During the day you’ll be able to make a selection of pieces that you can take home that same day, these may include pendants, earrings or small pictures.

This is also a chance to add a Christmas theme to the workshop and you will also have to opportunity to make a Christmas decoration.

With step-by-step guidance and tuition, Katie will demonstrate each stage as you progress, and offer one-to-one guidance where appropriate.

The course focus is always on fun and friendly creativity with lots of personal tuition from an experienced enamel artist.

FOOD: Hot and cold refreshments will be provided throughout the day and you

are welcome to bring your own lunch to the workshop. Alternatively the shop is situated next to the wonderful Mulberry Tree Cafe where you can purchase delicious food at reasonable prices.
